Wausau Paper, Wausau, Wis., has rebranded its Royal SilkPlus paper as Royal Resource, an environmentally preferred addition to the company’s popular Royal brand of premium writing, text and cover papers. The changing of the guard from Royal SilkPlus to Royal Resource enhances the entire Royal line by offering more sustainable papers in the colors, weights and textures most in demand, while also maintaining Royal’s high performance and affordable luxury qualities.
Royal Resource contains a new 100 percent recycled post-consumer fiber sheet in white. Additionally, all Royal papers are FSC-certified, and nearly all Royal Resource grades are Green Seal-certified and contain at least 30 percent recycled post-consumer fiber. Anticipating a growing trend toward more natural-looking colors and textures found in the environment, the Royal Resource line features a new bark finish, as well as five earthy colors: bamboo, fresh leaf, mushroom, weathered oak and fawn. Brilliant white and three colors—natural, ivory and gray—remain from the previous Royal SilkPlus line. Besides the enhanced sustainable offerings from Royal Resource, a 130 lb. brilliant white pasted cover has been included in the new Royal line.
