Global DocuGraphix Files for Bankruptcy

Headquartered in Lincolnshire, Ill., Global DocuGraphix reported July 18 that it filed petitions under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code with the United States Bankruptcy Court in Dallas. Global DocuGraphix’s subsidiaries, Document Imaging a/k/a GDXdata and TopForm Software, have not joined in the petitions and continue operations as normal. The action was taken by the company to attempt to conclude a sales process that it has been exploring for the last few months. The Printing Industries of America (PIA), Alexandria, Va., is urging swift Congressional action on postal reform in response to the United States Postal Services’s (USPS) May 3 announcement of a plan to significantly increase postal rates in 2007. Business Forms, Inc. Acquires Belknap Business Forms

Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Business Forms, Inc. (BFI) has acquired certain assets of Belknap Business Forms, Mayville, N.Y., and will handle Belknap’s traditional forms product line. BFI will now have greater presence in the forms industry and the ability to print larger volumes of forms.
