Quad/Graphics revealed that it is closing its direct mail facility on McCall Drive in Atlanta on or before Feb. 1, 2015. The move, announced by the printer in a letter to suppliers, will result in the loss of approximately 100 jobs.
A fire broke out Thursday morning at a printing plant in Lomira, Wis., but within hours it was extinguished and the business said it was resuming operations.
According to Claire Ho, a spokeswoman for Quad/Graphics, a small fire broke out in the building, the cause of which is still under investigation, and employees, along with the building's sprinkler system, extinguished it quickly.
Firefighters were called and on hand, as per the company's protocol.
