American Solutions for Business Signs Three-Year Contract with Dallas-based Odyssey HealthCare
On behalf of Glenwood, Minnesota-based American Solutions for Business (American), Alan Grundei, president, signed a three-year contract with Odyssey HealthCare, one of the largest providers of hospice services in the country, to provide forms, promotional items and technology to Odyssey's 90 Medicare-certified provider numbers in 30 states. Odyssey (NASDAQ: ODSY), lists annual revenue at $690 million and is based in Dallas.
American sales associates Dan Brown and Cathy Daniels will be account managers for Odyssey and its affiliates. Brown will be the senior account manager, coordinating marketing collateral and promotions, and Daniels, account manager, will be the contact person for healthcare forms and will conduct necessary training for the eCommerce application. She'll have an on-site presence at the Odyssey office several days a week.
Last summer, Brown began pursuing the opportunity to serve Odyssey and its affiliates. In October, he and Daniels, along with three other American team members, including CEO Larry Zavadil, presented the final proposal, complete with forms samples, detailed implementation schedules, eCommerce
demonstrations and video clips.
“This represents a great opportunity for American to expand its healthcare business,” said Grundei. “We look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership with Odyssey as they fulfill their mission to serve all people with the utmost dignity and respect during the end of life's journey.”
With an effective date of March 29, 2010, details are now being finalized and full implementation has been scheduled for Odyssey's personalized eStore, powered by ACES, American's proprietary eCommerce technology that enables clients to conduct and control a number of everyday business functions via the internet.
