DMW/IBFI FormsTech brings the industry together in one all-encompassing event
By Stacey Wenzel
Mark your calendar. The time is quickly approaching for the industry's first conference and exhibition designed to bring together the entire industry.
Document Management World/IBFI FormsTech '98 is set for April 5-8, and will be held at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago.
What makes this show one not to be missed is its unique combination of players gathered from all segments of the industry. Atten-dees will converge on the show to share business document trends and gather the latest technological information needed to increase sales.
Coming Together
The need for this unprecedented forum was recognized by IBFI President Thomas Playford and Business Forms, Labels & Systems' Publisher Judith Cavaliere.
According to Playford, IBFI members were requesting more activities that involved industry affiliates, in order to reduce member cost and increase member value.
"The major objective was to provide a forum for members to interact with the entire marketplace at one major event," said Playford.
Cavaliere added that there are too many trade shows within the industry. "Having one show that will bring the industry together is the perfect solution," she said. "Under one roof you can find it all--every facet of the forms and label industry."
Playford noted that DMW/IBFI FormsTech has the best of all worlds. "We've taken the success from previous IBFI FormsTech conferences and combined it with Business Forms, Labels and Systems' experience," he said.
Playford noted that at past IBFI FormsTech conferences, there have been "high-quality speakers, good conference topics and great attendance." DMW/IBFI FormsTech promises to keep up that high standard.
"This will set the stage for all shows to follow," said Cavaliere.
Several associations have shown their support for DMW/IBFI FormsTech by taking an active role in the conference.
