Ennis Inc., Midlothian, Texas, completed its earlier-announced acquisition of Sovereign Business Forms' assets: Mutual Graphics, Knoxville, Tenn.; TRI-C Business Forms, Houston; Falcon Business Forms, Corsicana, Texas; Forms Manufacturer, Girard, Kan.; and Curtis Business Forms, Holyoke, Mass. All five plants will continue to operate at their current locations under their existing trade names.
"I want to start by saying 'welcome' to all of our new customers and employees," said Keith S. Walters, chairman, CEO and president of Ennis. "Although the five plants were owned by Sovereign Business Forms, they all were managed locally and are well-known regional brands. This decentralized style of management fits the Ennis model, allowing the local managers and employees the ability to quickly react to customer and market needs."
Ennis values the great reputation that these brands have already established in their market areas. The acquisition will give each brand access to an expanded customer base, state-of-the-art systems, online tools and support personnel, and allow them to leverage purchasing power.
