FOGRA Approves Prisco Fountain Solutions
Prisco (Printers' Service) Newark, N.J., recently introduced three new fountain solutions that meet the exacting standards of Germany-based FOGRA. The economical, non-corrosive products are designed to work without alcohol.
Questar CTP CR-1S is a one-step, highly buffered formula designed for maximum image area protection of CTP plates. It received recognition for its citation by major European press manufacturers. Webfount 225E is ideal for high-speed, heatset web presses with continuous dampening systems. It was designed to promote short makeready times, prevent web breaks, and control calcium and piling. Webfount 115E is for coldset web printing and heatset presses with brush dampening systems. The formula makes it easy to control water and ink balances for faster job turnaround times.

Based in Germany, FOGRA Graphic Technology Research Association researches, develops and applies printing technology, in addition to helping the printing industry use its research results.
