Heeter Direct and First Impression Printing Merge
Pittsburgh-based First Impression Printing (FIP) will merge its sales and operations into Heeter Direct, located in Canonsburg, Pa. Gary Pandolfo, president and owner of FIP, and his wife Ellen Pandolfo, will join Heeter Direct and be responsible for developing sales and supporting the new combined sales team.
For more than 60 years, Heeter Direct has been a full-service print and graphic communications solutions provider offering digital and offset printing, campaign consultation and creative services, print on-demand, mailing, fulfillment and kitting to customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Through the merger, Heeter Direct will acquire additional services that will be available in-house, including die cutting and specialty fold and glue, among others.
Scott Heeter, president of Heeter Direct, stated: “We began discussions with FIP earlier this year as a way to grow our company through strategic acquisitions. Our management team considered FIP to be a great fit. FIP has many good and loyal customers, a strong sales and management team and talented operators.” He went on to say, “We were very impressed with Gary and Ellen Pandolfo. As business owners we share the same philosophy—they are genuinely concerned about their customers and employees.”
FIP was established in 1981 by Gary Pandolfo as an independent “quick printer” in the basement of his home. The company grew substantially and became highly regarded as a full-service commercial printing and mailing company serving Pittsburgh and the tri-state market, providing one-stop, in-house “print bind-mail” services for customers.
Gary Pandolfo commented, “This is a marriage of choice that will take an already sound and financially strong company to the next level by combining capabilities and intellectual resources second to none. Along with their desire to grow their company, Heeter Direct has the resources to provide the service and quality our customers expect. I'm extremely pleased with the chemistry between the Heeter management team and myself and could not feel better about this opportunity.”
