Lastra Launches LV-2 Violet CTP System
Earlier this year, Lastra America, Danbury, Conn., launched the LV-2 Violet CTP System that features two new processors.
"The introduction of our LV-2 Violet CTP System is designed to reach a graphic arts market currently underserved by CTP," said Lane Palmer, senior vice president of marketing and sales. "With the new system, we are poised to serve our customers with a wide array of digital plate products for their analog to digital transition strategy."
The LV-2 is a 410 nm violet laser-imaged photopolymer silver-free plate that is designed for 30 mW laser processing and medium to long runs of up to 100,000 impressions. No pre-heat is required for the EC-grained, violet-light CTP plate.
Accompanying the plate are two Lastra processors, 65V and 85V, which feature a pre-rinse chamber, a developing bath, rinse, gum and drying section. The processors are designed to process plates in widths of 25˝ up to 32˝.
