Headquartered in Lewis Center, Ohio, Multi-Plastics introduced an addition to its EnviroSafe line of eco-efficient films. The next generation of envelope window film has been designed to degrade when discarded into common disposal environments.
With the use of catalytic additives, EWF 20DG will begin the process of degradation without microbes being present. This degradation will accelerate when exposed to light, oxygen or heat, resulting in reduced weight, volume and form. The product shows Multi-Plastics’ commitment to the envelope industry by offering manufacturers the ability to be socially responsible using an economically viable product without compromising performance, processability or aesthetic appearance.
Multi-Plastics strongly supports the recycling community and its efforts, and EWF 20DG is recyclable using existing recycling streams, while containing 25 percent post industrial recycled content. In addition, EWF 20DG provides all the advantages of the company’s proven EWF 2001 LDLJ, including a low dust, low scratch formula with excellent processability using current windowing adhesives. The product meets and exceeds United States Postal Service requirements for gloss and haze as it pertains to envelope automation and processing equipment. Multi-Plastics is currently stocking materials in .00115” and .00125” thicknesses.
Since 1979, Multi-Plastics has been a leader in the slitting and converting of thin gauge plastic film in rolls and sheets to the envelope, carton, label, printing and packaging industries. Seven strategically located North American facilities allow Multi-Plastics to service customers with quick turnarounds and excellent service.
