The National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) introduced its newest book, “Strategic Growth: The NAPL Guide to Mergers & Acquisitions,” at the NAPL/Mailing & Fulfillment Services Association (MFSA) M&A Conference in Arlington, Va., Sept. 24-25.
"We were very excited to provide our conference attendees with this new volume, which contains a wealth of information based on real-world industry experience by knowledgeable mergers and acquisitions professionals in graphic communications," said NAPL President and Chief Executive Officer Joseph P. Truncale, Ph.D. "And we are glad to be able to introduce it to the industry at large at GRAPH EXPO. It is the perfect vehicle for company leaders to gain an understanding of what is involved in a strategic transaction and whether it is a strategy that should be employed to achieve their own company's goals."
A no-nonsense introduction to the M&A process in the graphic communications industry, "Strategic Growth" takes the reader step-by-step through preparing a company for sale, completing a valuation, finding acquisition targets and moving through the negotiation process effectively and efficiently. The 195-page trade paperback also includes case studies that illustrate some of the possibilities and pitfalls of strategic acquisitions and how to be prepared to leverage opportunities when they arise.
Among the topics covered in the book: the industry M&A environment and opportunity, strategic objective, business valuation, preparing to sell a business, finding a buyer, developing an acquisition strategy, and the M&A process, including early negotiations, financing and due diligence, closing the deal, and the M&A transition plan. "Strategic Growth: The NAPL Guide to Mergers & Acquisitions" (NP412) is available for $49.95 ($39.95 for NAPL members) at www.napl.org or by calling (800) 642-6275, Ext. 6345 or Ext. 6324.
