Phoseon Technology Becomes SGP Gold Patron
The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership welcomed Phoseon Technology, a leader in clean energy UV-LED curing, as its newest Gold Patron. Phoseon Technology joins a growing number of companies that support the transition to sustainable business practices for the graphic communication industry.
Through the support of companies like Phoseon Technology, the SGP Partnership is able to keep program participation fees low for printers.
"Phoseon Technology is helping the printing industry transition to mercury-free, clean energy UV-LED curing solutions, and we are pleased to join forces with the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership," said Bill Cortelyou, Phoseon Technology President and CEO. "SGP and Phoseon Technology share a commitment to encouraging sustainability practices, and we welcome the opportunity to share our technology with the graphic communications industry."
"The SGP Partnership is excited that Phoseon is now a Gold Patron. Phoseon's commitment to sustainable business practices for the graphic communication industry complements our core mission. There is strong synergy between the two organizations," stated Marcia Kinter, SGP Board of Directors Chair.
Phoseon Technology provides clean energy UV-LED lamps and systems for the drying and curing of printing inks. The Phoseon solution eliminates mercury and ozone from the curing process, generates less waste heat, has a longer life span, and results in significant energy savings and a smaller carbon footprint. The company, which pioneered clean energy UV-LED technology, is encouraging a world-wide shift from mercury-based industrial lamps to clean energy high-performance UV-LED curing lamps for an array of industries, beginning with the printing industry.
The SGP Partnership is a non-profit organization that promotes reducing the environmental impact and increasing the social responsibility of the print and graphic communication industry through sustainable green printing practices.
