Printing Industries of America recently announced the winners of the 2014 Premier Print Awards, the organization's international print competition. More than 3,000 entries were submitted for judging.
A complete list of the 107 Best of Category award winners (Benny recipients), as well as a listing of pieces and companies that received Awards of Recognition and Certificates of Merit, is available on the Premier Print Awards website.
"In recent years, and especially in 2014, the volume of entries increased, as well as the quality," Lisa Rawa, vice president, marketing for Printing Industries of America, said of this year's competition. "I think these changes say that we, as an industry, are still evolving with technology. Today we're seeing many more high-end pieces—more creativity, more visual aspects, technology (like augmented reality) and customized campaigns. Print continues to marry with technology and prove that it is very much alive," she continued. "That's apparent when you see these 3,000 pieces that come in from all over the world."
All Benny-winning pieces will be featured in a full-color publication distributed to 10,000 print buyers and recognized in front of hundreds of industry executives at the Premier Print Awards Gala Featuring the InterTech Technology Awards, held in conjunction with GRAPH EXPO 14 on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014. The Best in Show will also be revealed during the Awards Gala.
