Proforma Owner Judges Student Competition
Bruce Copeland, owner of Proforma Stewart & Associates, served as a judge for the Technology Student Association's (TSA) National Competition last month.
Copeland and two other judges evaluated the more than 120 entries that were submitted in the Promotional Graphics category. Contestants had to design a poster promoting TSA membership, with the theme "Snapshot of Innovation."
Entries were judged on how well they followed the contest rules, creativity and appeal.
"I spent an entire day looking at these entries, and in the end, I had to determine the top ten," said Copeland. "It was amazing to see all the hard work and dedication that go into these students' entries. Selecting the top ten was a difficult task, since so many of the posters displayed unbelievable talent."
TSA is a student organization that allows middle and high school students interested in technology to enjoy and explore it outside of a classroom setting. Since its inception in 1978, more than 2 million children have participated in TSA. Currently, TSA has 150,000 student members and 2,500 teachers and advisors in 48 states.
"Being able to serve as a judge for the TSA national competition was a wonderful experience, and I really believe in their mission of giving kids the chance to gain a better understanding of technology. I wouldn't hesitate to volunteer once again and see the talent these kids have," said Copeland.
