Visualize Success
“Change your life today.
Don’t gamble on the future, act now, without delay.”
Simone de Beauvoir
French author and philosopher
January 9, 1908 – April 14, 1986
Knowing what you know now, are you ready to change? Are you ready to become the person you would like to be both professionally and personally?
I can answer “yes.” But simply stating “yes” is not enough. I have had many “learning opportunities” over the past year. With this newly acquired knowledge, I have to ask myself a few candid questions: What am I going to do with this information? Am I
willing to be honest with myself and see equally my triumphs and defeats? How do I turn the areas of defeat into growth opportunities? How do I take the triumphs and build momentum? When I am exhausted, how do I stay motivated to continue on?
While it may sound like psychobabble, positive visualization is an incredible tool. Highly successful people in sports, entertainment and business all report the effectiveness of visualizing success. Creating a vivid picture of achievement helps me to conquer negativity and not repeat past mistakes. It also helps me to see myself winning in areas that I once believed were not possible.
So close your eyes, envision your great success and the path that brought you there. Now, make it happen.
