American Solutions for Business Remains Profitable
As American Solutions for Business ended its fiscal year on June 30, the company had many reasons to be thankful. Besides marking its 30th year in business, American has once again returned to sustained profitability.
Having successfully completed its new ERP (enterprise resource planning) system, American can once again proactively focus on sharing the American story with salespeople and companies in search of positive opportunities for change.
Last week, CEO Larry Zavadil announced the agreement between American and a division of Advance Business Graphics (ABG) of Mira Loma, Calif. The 10 sales associates and support personnel joining American are located in Orange, Calif.; Hoffman Estates, Ill.; and Irving and Bellaire, Texas. These offices have focused on the healthcare industry, credit unions and other traditional transactional business. In addition to the 10 associates, five customer service individuals will make the transition to American. In 2010, fiscal sales for the ABG group were approximately $8.4 million.
“We’re pleased to welcome the ABG group to the American Family,” said Zavadil. “With their expertise and skilled customer service support, we see significant opportunities for growth.”
Based in Glenwood, Minn., American is an industry-leading distributor of printing, promotional products, eCommerce, office supplies and strategic marketing solutions. The company was founded in 1981 and now has approximately 550 sales associates, a support staff of nearly 200 home office employees and 30,000-plus clients. American became employee-owned in 2000.
