BCT South Florida Wins Prestigious Gold Ink Award
BCT South Florida, located in Pompano Beach, won the 2010 Gold Ink Award. Entering its 23rd year, offering 50 categories for printers to compete, The Gold Ink competition is the most prestigious print competition in the print industry.
“We are honored to receive this distinction,” Lillian “Lil” Roberts, owner of BCT South Florida commented. “Some of the other winning entries were for pieces for companies like Abercrombie & Fitch, Ralph Lauren and Nordstrom’s and book covers for publisher Simon & Schuster. To be in the same company as these other winners is truly an honor.”
“Our piece was titled, 'Printing Brought to Life.' It showcased all of our capabilities in a hard cover, coffee table style book. It is meant for our resellers to be able to share ideas and show their customers how various printing techniques can really bring a printed marketing piece to life,” she said.
Peter Posk, president of BCT’s corporate office said, “Over the past seven years, we have transitioned ourselves from a printer with a fairly narrow focus on business cards and stationery, to a complete print solutions provider. Today we offer our customers a wide product offering, with digital and offset capabilities, foil and embossing and many finishing options. Lil’s plant exemplifies a successful transition to a full service, wholesale commercial printer.”
“As far as value to our customers, it’s not uncommon for us to turn around fairly complex digital jobs the same day. With the more complex jobs we fulfill, our customers can come in, consult with experts on our production team and explore options. Our 'high-touch,' competitive pricing and local service is where we shine,” Roberts commented. “We are also a source for ad agencies and other commercial print houses who need a manufacturer in the Florida marketplace to fulfill their clients’ needs and to minimize shipping costs.”
“BCT South Florida’s latest equipment addition is the new Xerox 7002 series digital printer. It has expanded our product offering to include variable data printing, short run presentation folders, short run printing in general and complements our existing line of equipment that encompasses foil, die-cutting, embossing, spot and full-color printing with UV and thermography accents,” said Roberts.
