Circle Graphics, the world's largest producer of grand-format digital graphics, recently announced the acquisition of Mammoth Media, a grand-format printing company with a focus on the transit market. The Boston-based acquisition adds an East Coast manufacturing presence to Longmont, Colorado-headquartered Circle Graphics as well as added transit expertise to more than 12,000 customers nationwide.
Founded in 2000, Circle Graphics employs more than 450 people nationwide with manufacturing facilities in Longmont, Colo., and Baton Rouge, La., and offices in Austin, Los Angeles, Detroit and New York City. All Mammoth Media employees will be joining the Circle Graphics team.
"This purchase is a strategic move to continue the significant growth that Circle Graphics has experienced in the out-of-home advertising industry," said Andrew Cousin, Circle Graphics CEO. "As a company with a great reputation, high standards and a customer focus, Mammoth Media is a perfect complement to the Circle Graphics portfolio."
"Mammoth Media's desire to access more national clients was a huge driver in this decision. The strength of Circle Graphics experience in outdoor billboards mixed with our experience in transit creates an ideal combination. We are not only excited about the opportunity to grow together, but also the opportunity this provides for our clients to grow in new marketplaces as well," said Mark Rowell, CEO of Mammoth Media.
With tremendous growth opportunities in the industry, the purchase allows the integration of services and talented teams to offer a broader range of products. Circle Graphics will bring expanded capacity, online ordering and a robust logistics offering. In turn, Mammoth Media's transit expertise, capacity and geographic location will help serve the increasing needs of Circle Graphics national clientele.
