Elwin H. Simon, 90, industry veteran and founder of Monaca, Pennsylvania-based Datatel Resources Corporation passed away on Monday, Oct. 13.
After purchasing the company in 1978, Simon positioned Datatel Resources to become a leading manufacturer of long run custom forms. Prior to his time with Datatel Resources, Simon served as national sales manager for the business forms division of Control Data Corporation.
Retiring from active responsibilities in 1993, Simon spent more than 20 years in Naples, Fla. as an active and competitive bridge player. Throughout his retirement, he always remained very interested in the changes happening in the industry he loved.
