NAPL/NAQP Names Printer of the Year
The National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) and the National Association of Quick Printers (NAQP) named Scott Cappel, president of Sorrento Mesa Printing, San Diego, as Printer of the Year and Brian O'Day, president of EPrint, Tigard, Ore., as Honorary Lifetime Member
The organizations will honor them during the Association Awards Luncheon at the 2010 Owners Conference, Sept. 30 through Oct. 2, at the InterContinental Hotel in Chicago, Ill. The Awards Luncheon, sponsored by Kodak, will be held on October 1 at 12:30 p.m.
"During this time of considerable challenge for our industry's executives, these outstanding executives have earned this important recognition for their leadership," said NAPL President and Chief Executive Officer Joseph P. Truncale. "Nominated by their peers and selected by a committee of their fellow Association members, they are clearly very deserving of these high industry honors."
"We are pleased to be honoring Scott and Brian with these two prestigious awards," said Dennis Trump, President of Trump Direct, Decatur, Ill., who served as Awards Committee Chairman, who noted that "the field of nominees for the 2010 awards represented the highest levels of business management excellence" in the quick and small commercial printing segment of the industry.
The annual Owners Conference is the only industry event tailored exclusively for small commercial and quick printing companies. This year it will offer information on developing practical applications for a variety of strategic initiatives, including customer analysis for greater profitability, pricing integrated services, marketing with social media, and communicating green practices to clients and prospects.
