The manufacturers agreed that selling plastic products is a profitable market for distributors due to plastic's many uses. Jacobs said that distributors have the potential to set mark-ups from as low as 10 percent to as high as 50 percent, based on volume and market.
Chadwick agreed. "Printed plastic products are a very profitable segment of the distributor market," she said. "The availability and flexibility of plastic materials today makes this market one of the most valuable in the industry."
