Hot Off the Printing Presses
Headquartered in Auburn, Mass., Sheppard Envelope is a proud converter of PaperTyger’s Defender, a new patent-pending, multi-ply laminate containing a security barrier to prevent unauthorized RFID detection at 13.56MHz and in the 860-980MHz range.
How it Works: Sheppard Envelope converts PaperTyger’s Defender into thumb-cut notched credit card sleeves that, in turn, protect and block the signal for hotel room keys, credit cards, debit cards, casino frequent player cards and the new drivers’ licenses needing to meet the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative. Printers can print the surface of their specialty paper with their normal inks and provide flat sheets back to Sheppard Envelope for conversion into finished envelopes. Popular sleeve layouts are 8 up on 111⁄2x171⁄2” or 32 out on 25x38” with full bleeds and room for gripper.
