How the USPS Decision to Stop Saturday Mail Delivery Will Affect Marketers

By now you’ve all heard the news I presume. The news from the United States Postal Service that they will stop delivering first class mail on Saturdays starting this August. Whether this means an increase in other channels such as email, mobile, radio and so on, is obviously not known, yet.

Rest assured though marketers across the country, those who currently included direct mail as part of their integrated marketing strategy, are busy making plans for the switch.

Kodak, Xerox Increasingly Saying 'No' to Trade Shows

“We’re in a world of information,” said Jon Levine, Xerox vice president of global experiential marketing. “The customer has all the control right now. What were trying to do is build advocates for our brand. The idea is, we have to reach our customers in different ways. The efficient way to do that might not be trade shows.”
