With the support of other employees, Oftedahl never felt ostracized and recognizes the value of teamwork. "I was very lucky to have a great balance in our marketing staff that was quite willing to share their vast knowledge and allow me to feel equal in the industry," she admitted. "[To succeed,] you must have a willingness to go outside the box, stay innovative, be willing to go out on a limb and share with the people who can help you put your thoughts and ideas into action. Networking is a key asset; a team will go much further than an individual."
