The Solution: Instead of tearing down the greenhouse and tossing it in the landfill, Dingus and his team recommended that it be disassembled and repurposed as donor gifts. "You can see the age marks on the old panes of glass, which we custom etched and mounted on a lasered wood base made out of the same kind of wood that surrounds the property," Dingus recalled. The biggest challenge, he confessed, was getting the glass to the factory for etching. Each pane was inserted in a bubble mailing envelope and transported via truck. "These were presented at the grand opening along with the explanation," Dingus continued. "It was worth all the extra work when we heard all the 'awes,' followed by a standing ovation."
